Circus

Circus is a hair dresser, where you can have a beer while getting a hair cut.

Morning coffee

Went for a coffee at Baresso the other morning.

No parking

'No parking of bikes' the sign says. You see these signs a lot of places, but fortunately people tend to ignore them. Why shouldn't we be able to park our bikes by the wall? Biking the city is easy - and parking the bike should be easy as well.

Digging up the town

These days you come across heaps of places in town that have digged up. Apparently they are redirecting some of the pipelines in order to make some space for the new Metro line.

Rein van Hauen

Rein Van Hauen bakery is one the best and most renowned ones in Copenhagen. They have some magnificent Kartoffelkager (Potato Cakes). These have nothing to with potatoes, though, apart from looking like that.

Botanical Garden

Summer?

No, we haven't had a sudden change of weather. Still freezing temperatures and snow around. I just thought it was about time to dig out a shot from last summer. This is from Rådhuspladsen (City Hall Square).

The Pillars of the Earth! #2

I have mentioned before that Ken Follet's Pillars of the Earth is one of my favourite books. That's probably also why I tend to like these massive pillars outside the Court House in Copenhagen.

Dagmar Teatret (The Dagmar Theatre) is a cinema in the city centre located in a building called Dagmarhus (Dagmar House). The building was Gestapo's headquarter in Denmark during World War II.
