The Royal Theatre's Operahouse opened in January 2005. The architect behind the project is Henning Larsen and was a gift to Copenhagen from the A.P. Møller Mærsk Foundation. Some people don't like the building and call it the 'Big Toaster', but I like it.

Id does have a different design compared to a few other opera houses, and it sure stands out a bit.
ReplyDeleteI think the design is appealing. I don't know what you would build that would please everyone.
ReplyDeleteCool photo! Love the architecture. Can you bring us inside for a snap, too? Hilsen fra Hagen med EAGAN daily photo i Minnesota, USA

I haven't been to inside of the opera house yet, but I love to see shots of the interior.
ReplyDeleteI promise that I will post a photo from inside the building sooner or later.
