This photo is from Qeqertarsuaq at Qeqertarsuaq (or Godhavn at Disko Island, but the Danish names are no longer acknowledged, so just forget them again). I think it represents Greenland very well. The coloured wooden houses on the rocks and the surrounding sledge dogs with the racks with dried fish there as weel is something you see all the time.
Greenland is recommendable. Being the north of the Polar Circle with the midnight sun is fantastic.
Looks pretty bleak to me. A tough life, I bet, among all the beauty. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteNever been there but I would like to visit some day.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo - never been there! Please show us a few more pics from Greenland! Hilsen fra Hagen
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it's from a "less inhabited" area. From what I've seen it's beautiful there.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Canadian Maritimes when I saw the image, and so I see you weren't in Denmark. This is a very evocative photo and thanks for sharing it with us.

Is it expensive to visit Greenland?
