World Trade Center

Someone has left a model of New York's World Trade Center on a piece of grass at the corner of Sølvgade and Farimagsgade. I have no idea what that is about, but I thought is was worth a photo.

  1. Intriguing. How can you be sure that's what it is?

  2. It clearly looks like the Twin Towers. What a sculpture! I remember exactly where I was that day and how the horror unfolded!

  3. I dunno, it kinda also just looks like two square metal columns...But you're probably right.

  4. A nice tribute, but I think it's kind of odd leaving it there.

  5. It might as well just be two square metal coloumns, but it does certainly bring associations to the Twin Towers... But I have no idea why such a tribute should be left in the middle of Copenhagen.

People left candles and flowers 9-11 2009, it was really special.

  7. @ Peace by Morene: You are right. It is street art and people left candles and flowers on 11 September. I would have taken a photo of it and shared it, but didn't bring my camera that day.

    Did you make it?

  8. Yes I made it. I work as a blacksmith, and I have been working on the project for months.
It was my idea and like I said, I just always loved the towers. I did it with a friend and we call us
Morene. We just started on a new project...

    Best regards M.V (Morene)

  10. This is a very nice sculpture. It remind us of the twin towers and the common loss on September 11th. I havent found any other comments or articles on the sculpture. That is strange. Will it be there forever - has the municipality accepted it to be there?
