The Irma Girl

Irmapigen (the Irma Girl) is one probably one of the oldest Danish trademarks still in use. It is from 1904 and represents the Irma supermarket chain from 1886. That makes it the second oldest supermarket chain in the world, only beaten by Sainsbury's in England which is from 1869.

  1. I'm not familiar with either of these chains, but any business that can stay alive for that long must be doing something right.

  2. Great shot! It looks like the Irma Girl is looking at the man who's coming towards her "in the window". Cool!
